1. Belt conveyor installation sequence

Clearly the installation sequence of the belt conveyor body, first install the head frame, then install the middle frame, and finally install the tail frame. Before installing the frame, it is necessary to clarify the position of the conveyor. The conveyor generally runs on a fixed straight line. When installing all sections of the frame, it is necessary to ensure that the distance between the conveyor and the center position is consistent. And the longitudinal horizontal inclination angle of the belt conveyor is always within the specified range. The error of the single-row frame must always be controlled within 0.1mm to ensure the stability of the conveyor operation.

When placing a single-section frame, it is necessary to clarify the placement of the frame. Only after confirmation can the frame be connected together. After the connection is completed, it is also necessary to ensure that the firmness of the frame installation is always within the specified range, and the distance between the frame and the center position is strictly checked.

 

2. Key points for belt conveyor installation

1) Installation of the head bracket

The head bracket is directly related to whether the belt conveyor can operate smoothly and safely. In order to effectively exert the normal performance of the belt conveyor, it is necessary to reasonably locate the bracket installation position before installing the head. So that will ensure that the head bracket part and the belt conveyor are in the same straight line and occupy the center position. And ensure that the belt conveyor can operate more stably and balanced.

When installing the head bracket, it is necessary to keep the conveying distance between each section equal, and all bracket sections are in the longitudinal center position and keep them in the same straight line. After the head bracket is installed, it is necessary to strictly inspect the longitudinal transportation inclination and horizontal position of the conveyor to ensure that the position is consistent with the relevant standards and the height of the inclination is reasonable. During the installation process, it is necessary to ensure that the overall center line error of the conveyor does not exceed 35mm. And the center line corresponding to the single-row rack needs to ensure that the error per meter is within ±0.1mm.

2) Installation of the drive device

The core device of the fixed belt conveyor during actual operation is the drive device. In order to ensure the safe and effective operation of the equipment, it is necessary to fully grasp the actual installation points of the drive device. First, when installing the drive device, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the centrality of the belt conveyor to ensure that the center line of the belt conveyor and the transmission shaft maintain a right angle relationship. On this basis, ensure the high stability of the operation of the belt conveyor.

In order to ensure that the conveyor always maintains a balanced operating state when the drive device generates driving force, it is necessary to pay attention to keep the width center line of the drive roller and the overall center line of the conveyor coincident during installation to ensure that the left and right driving forces of the drive device remain balanced.

During the acceleration of the belt conveyor, the belt is easy to deviate, so in order to minimize the error rate, it is necessary to ensure the parallelism of the reducer and the transmission shaft during installation. After installing the drive device, the operator needs to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the entire machine and conduct a trial run test to ensure that all parts of the equipment meet the relevant standards and regulations, and the deviation of the drive device shaft on a horizontal straight line is within 0.5 to 1.5 mm.

3) Installation of rollers

During the actual operation of the fixed belt conveyor, the rollers play an important role. The installation quality of the rollers must be strictly controlled to ensure the normal operation of the conveyor and to extend the service life of the equipment to a certain extent. When installing rollers, first install the rollers on each part, and then install the roller frames on the upper and lower parts, so that the belt can change direction during operation.

During the installation of rollers, the installation spacing needs to be controlled. Generally, 1/3 to 1/2 of the normal roller frame is the installation spacing. After installing the rollers, the belt needs to be strictly inspected to ensure that the belt can rotate flexibly and that the roller frame is highly stable.

4) Installation of the tensioning device

During the installation of the belt conveyor, the reasonable installation of the tensioning device can effectively compensate for the plastic and elastic deformation of the conveyor belt. That will ensure that the conveyor belt maintains sufficient tension, and avoid slipping during the operation of the belt conveyor. When installing the tensioning device, first conduct a comprehensive inspection of the device to ensure that its wire rope is not broken, rusted, etc., and ensure that the conveyor belt is not loose.

Ensure that the installation position is reasonable. Generally, it is necessary to install this device at the unloaded branch position close to the drive roller. That will ensure that the conveyor will not slip when starting or braking. In order to minimize the tension force, try to install the tensioning device at the position with the smallest tension of the conveyor belt.

5) Installation of protective device

The anti-skid protective device is installed on the return belt of the belt conveyor. For fixed belt conveyors, the anti-skid protective device is installed between the head unloading roller and the driving roller. The stacking protection is installed at the overlap of the two belt conveyors. The protective contact should be hung in front of the unloading roller.

The hanging height of the protective contact shall not be higher than the lower edge of the unloading roller. The deviation protection is installed in pairs, and one set is installed at the head and tail of the machine, and fixed on the frame of the belt conveyor using a special bracket. The temperature sensor is installed near the active roller of the belt conveyor. And the temperature probe should be close to the outer wall of the main roller.

3. Operation and maintenance of belt conveyor

Various faults may occur during the operation of the belt conveyor, which is very unfavorable to normal production. The belt conveyor needs to be operated and maintained regularly. The main contents of the operation and maintenance of the belt conveyor include the following aspects:

  1. Check the operating condition of the roller. If the roller fails during operation, it will cause the belt to deviate or scatter.
  2. Check the integrity of the belt. If the belt is worn during the material transportation process and the local area is damaged, it will cause the belt to break. When the belt is damaged, it is necessary to cut off the damaged belt and reconnect it.
  3. Check whether the belt has been watered. Since the belt conveyor has a long transportation distance, water may be sprayed in some areas. That may cause the belt conveyor to slip during operation. If not handled in time, slipping can easily cause a belt break accident.
  4. Check whether there is any material spillage on the belt conveyor operation line. If there is too much material accumulation in a local area, it means that the belt conveyor has a material spillage failure. At this time, it is necessary to check the fault and deal with it to avoid more serious belt accidents.
